Important announcement - changes to legality of residence - cancellation of epidemic emergency from 1 July 2023

As of 1 July 2023, the state of epidemic emergency* has been cancelled. This means significant changes in terms of the legality of foreigners' stay in Poland. With the lapse of 30 days from the cancellation of the state of epidemic emergency, the extended periods of entitlements, validity of documents and extended deadlines for foreigners to perform certain activities will end.

* Regulation of the Minister of Health of 14 June 2023 on the cancellation of a state of epidemic emergency in the territory of the Republic of Poland (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1118).

Consultations for citizens of EU member states and their family members on legalizing their stay are held on Fridays 8:00 - 10:00 am at the Department of Foreigners Affairs, 6 Przy Rondzie Street, room 214, 2nd floor. During the consultations you will receive information on legalizing your stay, arranging an appointment and filling out an application.

IMPORTANT !
If you have:
- a certificate of registration of residence of an EU citizen
- a residence card of a family member of an EU citizen
- document confirming the right of permanent residence
- permanent residence card of a family member of an EU citizen

issued until 1.08.2021. Your document remains valid for the period for which it was issued, but no longer than until 3.08.2026, and should be replaced by this date.
